Coffee, Coffee, Wine

Entry 081 for Friday July 3, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Recorded and released a #TechEduTips video explaining what #educoffee is about (in Spanish); a two hour #educoffee session with Lawrie, Viviana, Dave, and Miguel; meeting with Diego Z. about a possible software project; one hour #educoffee with Gilberto, Jorge, Nate, Jakob, and Viviana; #TI4022 class with some excellent presentations from the student teams (alpha, bravo and charlie); about an hour long #eduwine session with Joe, Cam, Miguel, Viviana, and Codie.
  2. What did you enjoy? All those sessions with some excellent conversations in all three sessions; the morning session was more focused around education and emotional health of students and faculty; the afternoon session started with a geeky conversation about video annotation which stemmed from my earlier meeting with Diego then shifted into other topics; a second instance of #eduwine this evening started without me (I passed co-host to Joe so he could handle the door) while I ate tacos with family and this was a nice discussion about life as educators during #covid19.
  3. What did you find difficult? I have feedback to catch up on but really need a break from classes, this #educoffee focus helped keep from that.
  4. What has changed? The change is that every day follows such a similar pattern. I was waking up later all this week as well.
