Online Course Confusion

Entry 589 for Tuesday November 23, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Received another reminder about my course for #Semana18 and found the time to do the online class; meeting with Mario, César, and Edgar about my academic load for next semester; class with my #TC1033 students for our 4th of 5 weeks of class; meeting with Raj about an upcoming course for his program next semester; found out that despite what the course about my #Semana18 course said (all online only), my course is in fact hybrid, also that the course covered content not related to my version of the course.
  2. What did you enjoy? Getting stuff sorted out. I don’t like meetings but this meeting about next semester was very helpful to feel sure about what is coming up.
  3. What did you find difficult? We need some more teachers. When looking at my load I was being considered for the courses I taught last year in addition to the new *huge* one this upcoming semester. I can’t do *all the things*.
  4. What has changed? My #Semana18 is hybrid which means I need to go to the classroom to teach it. :(
