Entry 584 for Thursday November 18, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Took Andy to the Tec; morning (national) meeting about return to campuses plans for 2022; after buying the battery last night, started the van and took it to the mechanic; didn’t eat until the afternoon as I was waiting to see if I would give blood today (I did not, plan changed for Friday); kept the house in order while Aure was with her mom much of the day; watched a great (but low scoring) game where McDavid scored yet another “goal of the year”.
  2. What did you enjoy? Taking time out to watch the hockey game after some stressful days. Another beautiful goal by McDavid. Stuart Skinner played a key role in his first home game in the NHL with an audience in the building.
  3. What did you find difficult? The van is in rough shape. We already knew about the gear shift sticking and the leak in the cooling system but now it appears that some rodents ate some of the wiring while it was parked for so long.
  4. What has changed? The van back on the road for a short trip to the mechanic in anticipation of needing to use it more soon.
