Forward to School

- What did you do today? Morning session for #TC2007B with my first experience in almost 18 months of students on campus in my class (I am still remote); #TC1028 student meetings with Diego, and Sergio; secondary school parent/teacher meeting (in Google Meet) about the start of the year; #TC2007B afternoon group (mixed remote/on-campus); physiotherapy with Valeria; hosted an almost 3 hour Zoom session for students and parents of my daughter’s graduation class to negotiate and vote on a plan for their graduation party.
- What did you enjoy? The hyflex class went pretty well. Some students disappeared during breakout rooms to go for breakfast.
- What did you find difficult? The shift to various flavours of hyflex for our course is trying to keep everyone happy but I detect some anxiety that some people aren’t 100% happy. I also was struggling how to spend money we have for a cyber-security lab in the best way.
- What has changed? Again, I am resisting the “back to school”. Things are different, we are moving forward and not back.
