Planning a Return to Campus

Entry 421 for Tuesday June 8, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Project working day for my #MA2002B students; filled out the form to declare my 30% minimum time on campus starting next week; finished reviewing assignments for #TC3045; meeting with our #MA2002B education partner Roberto from Kaspersky for office hours.
  2. What did you enjoy? Really good session with our #MA2002B students in office hours with Roberto, Luis, and myself. One of my teams showed their project which they already finished which made for great discussions and real value for the other students. A great example of open pedagogy working.
  3. What did you find difficult? It appears that I need to spend at least 30% of each week on campus and I’m not sure how that will make sense or make me productive over the summer when I won’t have access to my regular office space. Working on a well equipped desk with a powerful desktop computer and silence to focus has big advantages over a shared space with a laptop. There will be a national update about plans on Wednesday, a meeting at the campus level on Thursday about this, and a training course on Friday.
  4. What has changed? See #3, heading back to campus apparently.
