Entry 408 for Wednesday May 26, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Meeting with Eduardo, Carolina, and José Manuel about t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶  our Novus project; #educoffee with Eduardo, Miguel, Jorge P., and Cam; off to the campus to pick up the book for Ana D.; time to catch up on course planning; meeting with #MA2002B student Mariana; #MA2002B national office hours with Roberto, Luis, and myself.
  2. What did you enjoy? The meeting about the Novus project started with me thinking they just wanted my advice/thoughts about the project. They switched to inviting me about 40 minutes in and had me hooked.
  3. What did you find difficult? I really need to be saying “no” to more work and this Novus project will be forcing me to say “no” to other projects. That is okay though, I need to take some time out of helping every group that asks me to give a talk or workshop about teaching online this year after burning myself out with that last summer.
  4. What has changed? It has been about 4 years since my last Novus project which was MolCaGeTe with Alex Parra. This one came unannounced but really intrigues me.
