Entry 407 for Tuesday May 25, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? System administration cleanup tasks; #MA200B class; made a reservation at the library to take out a book for Ana D. (proxy); #educoffee with Miguel; #TC3045 student meetings with Xavier and Hugo; MCY project meeting with Edgar; to campus for my training session for the hybrid classroom setup; MCY project meeting with Viri; #MA2002B national session with a talk by Roberto on Applied Cryptography.
  2. What did you enjoy? Great meetings with students today and a really nice office hours session in the evening.
  3. What did you find difficult? The training session (with Christiam, who did a great job) did not impress on my the benefits to my mode of classes in that space. I was interviewed by some people joining in the room whom assume are technology providers. I don’t think my answers to their questions will lead to my video/audio being used. I was very matter-of-fact about my thoughts on the pros and cons of a hybrid setup like this. I also don’t feel like the ventilation in the room is sufficient for 15+ people in an enclosed space for an hour.
  4. What has changed? My first trip back to campus in awhile and the second in 2021.
