Old Files

Entry 231 for Monday November 30, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Up at 5am; went for flu shot; #TC1033 class; #educoffee with Miguel; website maintenance for SIGGRAPH; exam mishap for Andy; #MA2002B meeting; request tweet from Alan; student meeting (#TC1033) with Ximena; sleeping by 10pm.
  2. What did you enjoy? It was nice to help out my good friend Alan with that recovery request.
  3. What did you find difficult? Andy just plain forgot about his morning exam. Stress is real. Luckily his professor allowed a makeup exam the next morning.
  4. What has changed? It is truly interesting how file formats change and eventually become abandoned.

Thanks so much for jumping in so quickly at my request for resurrection of MS Word files of more than 30 years old in age! I’m eager to bring them back to life as web content.

It was my pleasure and the post for Tuesday will include a few more details including that video I created. It is exactly situations like this that spark out creativity and desire to learn new things. That actually happened to me twice yesterday and I love when this happens. More details in post number 232
