Entry 092 for Tuesday July 14, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Recorded a produced a #TechEduTips video on the Flipped Learning Network; produced a #LinuxTips video (the raw footage was recorded earlier) on updating a Manjaro system via the graphical user interface; meeting with Karla and Juan from Peru about their challenges in bringing #flipclass to their university; #educoffee with Pablo; exam in my #TC1028 class; I did not attend any #FlipTech sessions at all today; cleanup of #TI4022 class for submitting grades; conversation with my “ahijado” from 1998 Hugo; conversation with my good friend Toby.
  2. What did you enjoy? Those conversations with Hugo (about and hour) and Toby were wonderful. These human contact conversations are so important.
  3. What did you find difficult? That #TI4022 schedule was messed up. The trimester started one week late but the admins forgot to slide the ending admin dates (teaching evaluations and grade submission) which made everything rushed and just wrong. Often I get pushback when I talk about this but this is not about me, but my trying to fix the process so it doesn’t happen to the next person.
  4. What has changed? These days are long and I’m getting buried under emails. Really buried.
