Classes

Entry 029 for Tuesday May 12, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? First day of the third period in our #Tec21 semester with two classes: #TC1030 and #TC1033; a chat with my #TI2011 student (she is back in Germany) Luisa; I missed my #Semana18 meeting, totally dropped the ball there; some family stress with kids.
  2. What did you enjoy? A really wonderful discussion with my student Luisa. She let me know how everything was going with her and I was able to get some good feedback about our #TI2011 course. I truly appreciate all of my students and really am blessed to have international students in my classroom each semester.
  3. What did you find difficult? Learning from home is difficult. Trying to keep the boys lined up with their schoolwork while they adapt to new tools for their learning is intense. They are trying, we are trying and I know that their teachers are really working at this.
  4. What has changed? I am really enjoying this new schedule of our semester cut into 3 chunks with #Tec21. Designing and delivering classes that last 5 (or 10) weeks instead of the 16 week semester I have been teaching here since 1995 is a big change but I see many benefits in the varied schedules of different courses.
