The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? I recorded a 2 minute introduction to OBS Studio video tutorial (embeds at the bottom of the post) in both Spanish and English this morning and that was uploaded. Morning #educoffee was with Matt and a big chunk of my day was putting an old laptop in working condition for my niece. Her older brother has a laptop to use for class connections at school but she was stuck using an old phone to connect with her teacher and classmates. We have an old HP laptop that has no battery but still runs. It must have been missing at least a year of Windows updates and is still updating as I write this report. Hence the title and image.
  2. What did you enjoy? I had a very nice #educoffee with my friend and colleague Matthew Moore (link to Tweet thanking him) who is a fellow member of the board of directors of the Flipped Learning Network. We discussed work and family and this reinforced my belief that these breaks are an essential part of my days.
  3. What did you find difficult? Sometimes I lose track of time. I was catching up on some local news here in Jalisco and I was late for a meeting with my student Jorge and we didn’t connect. Hoping to catch him in class tomorrow morning to apologize to him.
  4. What has changed? Is this different or the same? The day just blew by. I planned to work through a backlog of feedback that I need to do for my classes. Not much of it happened.
