I Miss People Watching

- What did you do today? Walk with Bailey at 7am; campus gathering (via Zoom) for the close of the year and celebrating award winners; #educoffee with Miguel; OLC Innovate Steering committee meeting; dentist appointment.
- What did you enjoy? It was really nice to see faces that I haven’t seen (in person or on-screen) since March.
- What did you find difficult? Seeing those smiling faces and sending back-channel messages back and forth has me feeling how much we miss the random encounters. Everything is planned or scheduled and something I love about México compared to Canada is the spontaneity of random encounters with friends.
- What has changed? Right there. Everything is planned and calculated. Despite not knowing what the future brings, the present is missing the surprise encounters.
