Guatemala

Entry 501 for Friday August 27, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Morning sessions with my #TC1028 groups; more organizing plans for campus classes for #TC2007B; meeting with Kaled and Gerardo about the Cybersecurity student group’s plans for the year (I am a faculty sponsor); physiotherapy with Valeria; keynote talk for various universities and professors in Guatemala (slides, video); #eduapertif with Miguel.
  2. What did you enjoy? I resisted doing workshops and talks this summer as I was exhausted last year doing too many. This session went really well and I enjoyed it.
  3. What did you find difficult? More headaches trying to keep everyone informed and happy about the on-campus plans.
  4. What has changed? After a couple years of a dormant ACM student chapter on campus, I am now the faculty sponsor for two student groups.
