Update on Plans

Entry 487 for Friday August 13, 2021

The core questions:

  1. What did you do today? Recorded a video about using a Discord template for class support to release later; earlier arrival and sessions with my two groups of #TC1028 in the morning; coffee with Miguel; update on Tec planning from David Garza and team; meeting with another student about concerns about moving back to Guadalajara for on-campus classes; an intense therapy session (Valeria) that focused around massage of the soleus muscle which is the main muscle at the back of the calf; returned home in a heavy rain.
  2. What did you enjoy? Having really good sessions with my groups which made up for my chaos on Tuesday arriving late for the first group. I also finished setting up Discord for all of my groups and the students are active there.
  3. What did you find difficult? That massage was intense and really hurt. Valeria warned me ahead of time but this was much more intense than any other therapy session this week.
  4. What has changed? There were no formal #educoffee sessions this week nor videos released for #TechEduTips. The combination of the first week of classes and the start of my physiotherapy for my leg had me very busy. This was also my first week back downstairs working from my desk since early June. Alejandra passed her driver’s exam today and I am proud of her.
