RIP Emmanuel

Entry 464 for Wednesday July 21, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Meeting with Kaspersky and Jorge about possible collaboration with them for our labs; coffee with Miguel; visit with the doctor at the hospital to get my cast reinforced; followed the expansion draft for the Kraken; learned of the passing of one of our students who graduated in 2017 to covid19.
  2. What did you enjoy? A good meeting with Kaspersky.
  3. What did you find difficult? Losing a student is hard, losing colleagues is hard.
  4. What has changed? We lost a student to covid, he was way too young. This image is my calendar entries with Emmanuel to when he was a student helper for me and this last meeting where he asked for advice about possibly moving to Canada.
