Father’s Day

Entry 433 for Sunday June 20, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Bath (thanks Aure), mass, and a meal with family for Father’s Day; nap in the early evening; watched most of game four of Montreal versus Vegas.
  2. What did you enjoy? Had a nice visit with two of my brothers-in-law (Poncho and Beto), and one sister-in-law (Clau) and family at our place. We ordered in some steak from a place we order from often and had appetizers, salsas, rice, and guacamole to accompany. Really good to visit and see the family and especially the nieces and nephews.
  3. What did you find difficult? The time moving about with the bad leg was tiring. We went to mass and I hobbled around on crutches including from back to front of church (and back) for communion. I spent a good part of the afternoon downstairs for the first time since I broke my leg so much more time away from laying down in bed with the leg raised than I have in the last week. By evening I was exhausted.
  4. What has changed? First time downstairs today since I broke my leg. I’ve spent pretty much the entire past week in our room.
