Cooking and Laundry
Entry 288 for Tuesday January 26, 2021
The core questions:
Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.
- What did you do today? Up at 7am; busy day keeping the boys engaged with their classes; washed four loads of laundry; shopped for dinner; made a chicken soup for our neighbour who tested positive for #covid19; prepared dinner for the boys; slight drama about not arriving home for dinner on time for one of them; late to bed after watching the #Oilers lose to the #Jets.
- What did you enjoy? The meal turned out well: roast pork loin with scalloped potatoes, steamed vegetables (frozen), and gravy. The boys appreciated and enjoyed it. Alejandra was out and missed the meal.
- What did you find difficult? Keeping a level head and discussing about care, empathy, and consideration with a teenager.
- What has changed? Today was the first full day taking care of the house and the four youth by myself this week. We did okay.

Today’s Reading/Listening
Hockey and mostly hockey. Listened to a really nice episode of Teaching in Higher Ed, #345 “Transforming a University“.
Man, that roast pork loin looks amazing. I made pan seared pork chops, but now I’m thinking I chose the wrong prep.
