Entry 154 for Monday September 14, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Released the weekly videos about week 4 for #openflip and sent out the TinyLetter mailing for both English and Spanish cohorts; meetings all morning preparing for the upcoming #Tec21 classes for the Feb-Jun 2021 semester; meeting with #TC3045 student Francisco; #educoffee with Miguel, Viviana, and Pablo; shopping; systems administration tasks. Started a new story mode play of Red Dead Redemption 2.
  2. What did you enjoy? Great discussion with my student and also that restart to RDR2. I am not “good at the game” but enjoy the cut scenes and the story. Relaxing mode.
  3. What did you find difficult? The meeting about Tec21 was fine and useful but most of the content was destined for new teachers. So keeping focused to ensure not missing key points was tricky as I tried to get other tasks done.
  4. What has changed? I have been getting up much later (closer to 7am) but still waking around 5:30am and reading an hour or so in the morning. Making progress on “Teaching Effectively with Zoom” by Dan Levy.
