Entry 113 for Tuesday August 4, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Cleaned up my workstation to remove Windows10 and install a pure Linux setup; produced a video for #LinuxTips about Linux Mint 20; discussion with Mayra about my “afore”; 30 minutes on the phone for support with Inbursa; #educoffee with Miguel and Pablo; I got a haircut and shaved down to a goatee; meeting with Arturo about digital literacy; submitted my fifth assignment for the Creative Commons Educator Certificate course, “Creative Commons for Educators, my plan“; afternoon #educoffee with Adriana; meeting with a student (grad 2011 LAD) Sergio about his latest project.
  2. What did you enjoy? Nice discussions via #educoffee and those discussions with Arturo and Sergio.
  3. What did you find difficult? Thirty minutes on the phone with Inbursa. Never even provided what I was looking for (activation of my PIN) and I found out the password to an encrypted file they send is the filename itself. Wow.
  4. What has changed? Full Linux workstation again at home. No need for Win10 on the boot so wanted to clean it up.
