Hero?
Entry 084 for Monday July 6, 2020
The core questions:

- What did you do today? Wrote my assignment 3 for the Creative Commons certificate course; first day of RNP2020; recorded in Spanish the content from that CC assignment for my #TechEduTips video; #educoffee with Joy and Leigh; I gave my talk as part of the “Heros of the Virtual Classroom” about #educoffee.
- What did you enjoy? For assignment 2 of the CC course, I really rather “mailed it in” and I felt bad. I decided to deliver late this time but with a better design and proper “thinking through” the assignment. Jonathan has a similar point of view about deadlines as I do for my courses and I appreciate living that experience from the other side (as student). One of my students (Alan) said last year: “I would rather hand it in late but *good* instead of “on time” but not good”.
- What did you find difficult? The awarding of “Profesor Inspirador” gives me mixed feelings still. I have my disagreements with how it is structured and decided upon. I applied six years ago for the first version and I think the second year but decided to not apply since then. Maybe I will next year after all that I am living through with #covid19 but I still feel strange about the entire process.
- What has changed? I do actually think that the work I am doing with innovative pedagogy is being noticed, recognized, and appreciated now than before. That could be simply my perception though.
