Gratitude

Entry 045 for Thursday May 28, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Video creation for #LinuxTips (Syncthing); meeting for reviewing design of #TC1030; morning #educoffee with Miguel and Joe; student meetings with Gustavo and Fabián (#TI2011) and María Paula (#Semana18); #educoffee with Adriana and Viviana; César phoned me to give a survey about my adjustments to online classes (MFD+); my last class with #TI2011 for the semester.
  2. What did you enjoy? All of the above was great but definitely the highlight was my #TI2011 class. A friend and student from the past century, Karla Magaña was our invited speaker which was wonderful and after she left ,we spent some time reflecting about the class, the semester, and life during #covid19 as students. Some nice compliments from students and such a wonderful vibe to the course. A tweet sent after the class here. These are the days when I definitely realize my passion for this job as a teacher. I am privileged and blessed.
  3. What did you find difficult? Nothing really other than this was another very long day. I really prefer the morning classes so these evening classes like #TI2011 which runs from 6:30pm – 9:30pm
  4. What has changed? I wonder how others are doing with online learning and their classes. The questions in the survey with César seemed strange within my own context of experience working/teaching online and my own take on active learning and a pedagogy of care.
