We Miss you Rod

Entry 222 for Saturday November 21, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Relax, cleaning house, setting up the Christmas decorations; started an NHL21 “Be a Pro” series and recorded the games.
  2. What did you enjoy? I spent quite a bit of time creating the in-game players for five friends from different stages of my youth: Mike Achtem (good friend at elementary school), Mike Miller (one of my best friends who we lost too early), Kevin Wells (a good friend during baseball days and high school), Rod Olafson (a very good friend during university and beyond, we lost him too young as well), and Mike Kazyss (Mike was known as Szpradowski when we were young playing street hockey and AD&D during my high school days. Still in touch today).
  3. What did you find difficult? Today was the 5 year anniversary of when Rod left us. He was such a good father, friend, person and we really lost him too soon.
  4. What has changed? I may do some more #TechEduTips videos but I am not going to force it. I’m tired. But I wanted to record this series since the effort to record is null (just push record while playing) and the editing will give me a different type of project to work on with video/audio skills.

We lost Rod 5 years ago on November 21, 2015. In my NHL21 Be A Pro series, I recreated some friends including Rod as my team mates for our Victoria Royals Memorial Cup tournament.
