Why Do I Teach?

Entry 389 for Friday May 7, 2021

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Answered a question (in private messages) from Fredele that she posed to me Thursday evening which was mostly about what triggered me to be a teacher and not continue in industry; morning sessions for planning #TC2007B with colleagues across the nation followed by a closing meeting for these planning sessions for August; another difficult evening about communication and respect with A2.
  2. What did you enjoy? I really liked the questions from Fredele and I plan to record something about this. I also was surprised to see a friend in the last Zoom session who I didn’t expect in that meeting. That chance encounter made me smile and more excited for the next semester.
  3. What did you find difficult? A long day and I was just about to start the ESO MFN night with my AIE friends and needed to logout to attend more important and pressing parenting tasks.
  4. What has changed? We start the final period (or mini-term) of the semester on Monday.
