OOPSLA Memories

Entry 104 for Sunday July 26, 2020

The core questions:

Credit goes to Ben and readers of his blog for these “Four Questions” and the five stretch questions.

  1. What did you do today? Rest; some reading; I started another audible book “Game Change: The Life and Death of Steve Montador and the Future of Hockey” by Ken Dryden; one of my early students (Angel) from 1996-1998 shared photos from OOPSLA 96; read a blog post shared by Rissa via tweet to a Sean Michael Morris post “Technology is not Pedagogy“.
  2. What did you enjoy? I really like the narration by Ken Dryden of his own books, it really pulls you into the story and this story about Steve Montador is sad and fascinating.
  3. What did you find difficult? Keeping motivated, these past two weeks have been draining.
  4. What has changed? I am tired, really tired.
